Flying From Vancovuer to Iceland
Vancouver to Reykjavik, Iceland
Aerial Photography From a Commercial Flight
Rarely have I had much luck snapping photos from a commercial flight, but that changed on our Vancouver - Reykjavik flight. Di tried something new and booked us an aisle and a window seat; hoping no one would book the middle seat. The plan worked and we had ample space on the 757 for our 8-hour flight.
We left on June 18th, close to the summer solstice, translating to daylight for the entire flight. At 4:45 am we flew over the east coast of Greenland. The combination of beautiful weather and timing meant out-of-this-world beautiful views of glaciers, mountains, and coastlines. An invigorating start to this leg of 5050 Travelog.
The photos in this post are made with a Fujifilm X-H1.
