Happy Thanksgiving - Fall Days in Vernon BC
Last week Patrick LaRoque quoted Richard Avedon in his blog. So here I am quoting Patrick quoting Avedon sounding like an echo. Sorry, Patrick to repeat this but it really struck a chord with me and for the past week I have made a conscious effort to bring my camera where ever I go and essentially being ready to shoot whenever the light was good or the fall colors would show.
“And if a day goes by without my doing something related to photography, it’s as though I’ve neglected something essential to my existence, as though I had forgotten to wake up. I know that the accident of my being a photographer has made my life possible. ”
— Richard Avedon 1970
The images are taken around the Vernon area. We have Kalamalka Lake, Downtown, Kin Race Track, and ending the series a few fall images from around Turtle Mountain which is located almost right in the middle of town. A great place to escape for an hour or so.
Photos in this post are captured with a Fujifilm X-Pro1 and XF 35mm f/1.4 R.
