Short Eared Owls - Harriers - Boundary Bay
I arrived in Vancouver Wednesday evening and could immediately feel how much milder it is near the coast. It was not hard to abandon my snow shovelling duties and the sight of near one metre high snow bank surrounding my driveway. No snow on the ground here and forget about hat and gloves. Friday afternoon my friend / wildlife photographer, Henrik Nilsson, and I went out to Boundary Bay to see if we could scout out some owls. I noticed the temperature gage in the car read 11 degrees as we arrived. The sun was low in the sky and popped out from time to time giving us some beautiful afternoon light for our venture. Below are some of my favourites of the day.
