I ventured up to The Rise Golf Course last night just before sun down. The Rise is set above Okanagan Lake in Vernon BC. I did not go up there to golf although I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this course. The nature surrounding the holes is rugged and it features beautiful views of the Okanagan Valley. As we walked up to view the green at the 18th hole a young lady approached us and asked if we wanted a tour of the course. I couldn't believe how friendly she was as she drove my wife, son and I around for about 20 minutes in her six seater golf cart. As we left the golf course the sun was setting over Okanagan Lake and I started shooting a series of 5-6 photos with my X-Pro1, which I planned to use for a panorama. While I was shooting I noticed my son was doing a panorama using his iPhone. It didn't take me long to say; Hey, what are you using to do this. He told me to get the Photosynth app. We downloaded it right away and I gave it a shot. I would have to say I was quite impressed with how the app worked and the result is quite good in my opinion.
