Tolko & Habitat for Humanity Project

Tolko Industries Ltd. was proud to be part of the Habitat for Humanity Kelowna duplex projects in 2010-2011. Tolko contributed lumber, oriented strand board, and plywood structural materials toward the new homes for four low-income families. Featured in the montage of photography and video are students from the Residential Construction Program of Okanagan College, Project Manager Rick Williamson, and Habitat for Humanity volunteers.

Last fall I was in West Kelowna covering the Habitat for Humanity building project for Tolko Industries Ltd. Tolko donated lumber and sheating package for the construction of a duplex built by volunteers for low income families. In April and May it was time to go back for phase two of this project. This time around Dan Price from Tolko Marketing and Sales joined me for the trips to West Kelowna. A special thanks goes to Dan as he had many great ideas for the product shots and video slideshow, which we put together. Thanks also to Sheri, Bob, Daniele and Catherine who provided input and direction for the video/slideshow.
