Vancouver and Joe McNally
Joe McNally Seminar in Vancouver
I have just returned from a few days in Vancouver. I spotted that Joe McNally was in town for his "One Light/Two Light" seminar so I decided to go. It is hard not to like this guy. His experience in the field becomes evident rather quickly. In my opinion, it is much more about his stories and anecdotes than the lighting itself almost. I did come out with some new ideas.
I enjoyed his step-by-step approach and his ability to correct as he went along the way. He had a very calm way about this and I would imagine that when he's on a real job it would be much the same. And he certainly knows how to make it look like fun.
After the seminar, I decided to walk the streets of Vancouver and brought along my X-Pro 1. Below are a few snapshots from around the Harbour, Gastown, and Granville Street. You can see more in my Vancouver Gallery on my Smugmug site.
The photos in this post are captured with a Fujifilm X-Pro1 and XF 35mm f/1.4 R.
