Victoria Actor Portraits
My son graduated from the theatre program at UVIC this month. His fellow class mates were looking for head shots, which would have Hollywood calling in no time. Modestly I said; "I will give it shot", so when we visited Victoria in March we booked a huge rehearsal room and called in Hayley, Randi, Simon and Lucas. I used a basic three light set up for these and used a theatre curtain as back drop. It was nice to have all this space although less would probably have been fine. I was amazed of the control these guys had over their facial expressions. I guess four years at university really teaches them a thing or two. As we moved from smiling shots to a more serious look they had many stages between the two. Fascinating. A good bunch of kids. I really enjoyed this shoot and wish you all luck in your endeavours.
