My childhood friend, Charlotte, lives in Kapellen, Belgium with her husband Peter, and daughter Karoline. We had not seen each other for close to 26 years and I was going to be in the neighborhood. Well, close enough. Taking the train from Cologne to Brussels was a breeze and then another hour north to Kapellen.

Kapellen is a quiet and cozy town. I stayed with Charlotte and her family for a couple of nights and it was great to catch up and reminisce about the good ol' days in Silkeborg and Lemvig. It was also a nice change to quieter surroundings after three days of Photokina.
