An Evening at Hastings Racecourse

Our family was gathered Friday night as we ventured out for a visit to the Hastings Racecourse. Our daughter Emma's boyfriend, Simon, kindly treated us all to dinner as he wrapped up his Canada visit. Our son's girlfriend, Courtney's dad, Dan, is the official race announcer at Hastings and has been for the past 27 years. We enjoyed a special invite to his box above the track and witnessed firsthand how he announced a race. Fantastic. It is a great place to spend a summer evening and we even won a few bets.
